In the lead-up to Easter, a season of hope, renewal, and togetherness, Caritas Jerusalem launched a support initiative aimed at standing beside Christian families during this meaningful time.

The campaign targeted families across the Bethlehem governorate, reaching communities in Bethlehem, Beit Jala, and Beit Sahour. Through this effort, food parcels were distributed, along with poultry food vouchers, enabling families to prepare for Easter in a way that upholds dignity while preserving the spirit of celebration.

At the heart of this effort there were Caritas Jerusalem youth volunteers whose energy was felt at every stage of the process. Their integral involvement reflected a strong sense of ownership, solidarity, and community engagement. From sorting and packing to organising and distributing each package, they brought more than just their time, they brought care, dedication, and teamwork. Their engagement is a testament to the spirit of service, embodying compassion, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

The support extended beyond individual households to four institutions caring for the elderly and people with disabilities, ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of the community could experience the warmth and inclusion that defines this season.

Beyond the tangible assistance provided, this initiative carried a deeper message. What remained with us was something harder to measure. Each parcel symbolised care, solidarity, and a reminder that no one should be left alone. In a time that calls for hope and renewal, these acts of giving help foster a quiet yet powerful sense of connection, bringing people closer together in a meaningful and lasting way.
