The video shares the story of a family in Gaza whose lives were filled with fear, loss, and uncertainty. Their home was destroyed, their neighborhood was bombed, and they were forced to leave to the south before returning to what remained. Living in a tent became their reality. Daily cooking and baking depended on a simple clay oven, while limited access to water deepened their suffering.
After the loss of the husband and the family’s main source of income, the responsibility of caring for six family members fell on the mother. Every day required effort, patience, and endurance. The children lived through cold, mud, and unstable conditions, with no sense of safety or routine. Life continued, but only through small steps and simple solutions that made survival possible.
The assistance funded by Cordaid and implemented by Caritas Jerusalem, enabled the family to secure clothing for the daughters, along with vegetables, sugar, oil, and other basic household needs. The story reflects Caritas Jerusalem’s continued presence alongside families in crisis and its effort to respond to real needs through practical support.
