Caritas Jerusalem's Visit with Cardinal Pizzaballa

On Tuesday, April 2nd, Caritas Jerusalem's dedicated team gathered for a special Easter exchange with H.B. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, president of Caritas Jerusalem an occasion marked by gratitude and camaraderie.

Led by Mr. Anton Asfar, Caritas Jerusalem's Secretary General, the meeting served as a moment of heartfelt appreciation and fellowship. Joined by members of the executive committee, they warmly greeted Cardinal Pizzaballa, extending Easter blessings and sincere thanks for his continued leadership.

During the visit Mr. Anton Asfar and H.E Msgr. Ehpraim Semman, the Vice President of Caritas Jerusalem, presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Andrea Batarseh, the Treasurer of Caritas Jerusalem, for his long years of service.  Mr. Andrea’s years of unwavering dedication and selfless contributions to the organization, as a volunteer, were celebrated with gratitude and admiration.

In a gesture of recognition, Mr. Asfar presented Cardinal Pizzaballa with a Scepter, honoring his recent appointment as Cardinal—a testament to his enduring commitment to the Catholic community in the Holy Land.

Reflecting on Caritas Jerusalem's ethos of "putting love into action," Cardinal Pizzaballa emphasized the importance of embodying compassion and service, echoing the timeless teachings of the Church. Even amidst challenges, his message resounded with hope, urging all to let love guide their actions, today and always.
