April 3, 2024Caritas Jerusalem and Beit Sahour Municipality Forge Partnership for Humanitarian and Development Initiatives
In a significant move towards bolstering support for the community, Anton Asfar, the Secretary General of Caritas Jerusalem, met with Mr. Hani Hayek, Mayor of Beit Sahour Municipality, to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing humanitarian and development endeavors in the Beit Sahour area. With a population of approximately 15,000 residents, this partnership holds great importance, particularly in addressing the needs of areas designated as area C, which are targeted by Caritas Jerusalem.
During the meeting, Mr. Anton Asfar extended congratulations to Mr. Hani Al Hayek on his recent appointment as the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities in the Palestinian Authority. This appointment opens new avenues for further dialogue and projects aimed at advancing the socio-economic landscape of the region.
